Привет всем, дорогие девочки!

Этой публикации я ждала особенно :)

Люблю делать работы для кого-то, а если еще будущий получатель близок моему сердцу, то мне особенно хочется его удивить и порадовать.

На этот раз у меня виниловая пластинка с фото милейшего существа - ежихи Варежки. Вот уж кому повезло так повезло оказаться домашним питомцем в семье  моего далекого друга Люды Половниковой.

Если вы читаете Люду в Инстаграм, то найдете там историю и про то, как Варежка появилась у них дома, и как она уживается с котом и собакой, и массу наизабавнейших фотографий.

Так что эта пластинка для Людочка и ее семьи, блог она не читает, но, надеюсь в Инстаграм увидит мой сюрприз.

Hi gorgeous Lindy's friends!

It's Olga Ravenskaya here and I'm coming back today with my new project on the vinyl disc using Lindy's Sprays and Embossing Powders.

I had a lovely photo of the hedgehog which lives in my friend's family and I decided to create a wall vinyl decor perfectly matching for their house interior.  It's such a pleasure to create a project for somebody close to your heart, I hope my work will remind my friends about past happy Christmas holidays.

I picked the colors according to my photo - a combo of greys, oranges and reds.

It was my first try to work with a vinyl disc so at the very beginning I set the composition to determine how I'd like to make a background.

Have a look at the photo below - I marked those zones with ovals to help me place the elements.

I applied a white texture paste through the stencils according to the zones I marked. Light glares stencil which is so matching to my photo - on the top and the bricks stencil - on the bottom.

I began with California Poppy Gold and Grab a Guy Gold Sprays, applying them over the paste pattern with a thin brush.

Then continue with brighter colors, Poinciana Red Flame and Hag's Wart Orange adding them to the rest of the white spots and slightly mixing into the previous pattern.

All those sprays are from the Starburst series and besides beautiful colors, they give a gorgeous shimmer.

I wanted to make the glares as natural as possible so I added drops of Frozen Jack Frost Starburst for white flares and Blazing Sun Glitz Spritz for gold shine.

As for the bottom of the vinyl record, I began with dark colors - Midnight Rendezvous Raven and Whale Watch Blue - just spraying them from the bottle.

BUT don't let them dry, opposite - spray over with Silent Night Silver, Frozen Jack Frost and Scintillating Silver. They beautifully mixe with each other!

I also added tiny splashes of Scintillating Silver and Blazing Sun Glitz Spritz, spraying them just from the bottles.

A little tip: you need to spray them approximately from 20 cm distance to get such small beautiful drops.

Now you need a little patience, make a cup of tea and let everything dry naturally! Don't use a heat gun - it'll deform the vinyl and ruin the splashes!

After drying, the particles of shimmer stay on the surface and it looks like silver-gold splatter.

While the surface was drying I altered chippies using Purely White, Cuckoo Clock Cardinal and Octoberfest Orange Embossing powders.

 
Then I added text stamps to the surface and embossed it with Purely White EP on the bottom

and on the upper part.

It's needed to be very careful to emboss on the vinyl surface - use a low mode and heat from both sides of the disc to prevent it from deforming.

After that, I arranged and glued on all the elements.

I wanted to get some kind of a shade effect as on my photo. For this purpose I used Silhouette Silver, Moon Shadow Mist which is perfect, it has brown undertone with a scrumptious silver shimmer.

I tinted bricks and lights - look at the photos below how gorgeous this touch turned out!

   
As a final step, I added some glass beads, sequins and splashes with white acrylic paint.

Done!
